Here are some links to some of the wonderful musicians I have played with in one capacity or another.  More information about Vermont musicians can be found from Burlington VT's Big Heavy World Music Site.

Atlantic Crossing

This is a local traditional (with some original thrown in for good measure) American/Canadian/Celtic band. They play many concerts and contra dances.

Rachel Bissex

We lost Rachel on February 20, 2005 after a battle with cancer.  An amazing human being, she was always willing to help a fellow musician and left a great many devoted friends behind.  She was the winner of a number of awards, including the Kerrville New Folk competition.  Her CDs are available from her web site and a scholarship fund has been set up for her children.

Patti Casey

A 2000 New Folk Winner at the Kerrville Festival (among her many accolades), she’s also a superb singer.  She has solo CDs available CDs recorded as a member of the popular "Bluegrass Gospel Project,"  and is now performing as a solo musician and with the Woods Tea Company. Go out of your way to catch her if she ever comes remotely near your town.

Michael Chorney

A major presence in Vermont's music, Michael is a composer, arranger, producer and generally interesting guy.  He has worked in Jazz, Funk, Electric and Acoustic music.  He has recently received wide-spread attention as Anaïs Mitchell's producer on her last two CDs as well as her accompanist and arranger. He also was a former member of Feast or Famine and Sundog.

Anaïs Mitchell

A brilliant and poetic songwriter from Vermont. If you aren't already familiar with her, you are in for a treat. Her last CD, The Brightness, was released on Righteous Babe Records.

Jennifer Kimball

Formerly a member of "The Story," she has long been well known for her achingly beautiful voice.  More recently she has earned herself a strong reputation for her songwriting.

Pete Sutherland

For a long time Pete has been regarded as one of Vermont’s most talented and professional musicians.  Renowned for his fiddle playing and songwriting (as well as his production skills), he shows off all his remarkable gifts on his own CDs.

Louise Taylor

A wonderful singer/songwriter with a unique pulsing rhythmic guitar style and a rich dark voice.  Her lyrics are marked by unpredictable poetic turns.  Her fifth CD, Velvet Town, may be her best one yet (which is saying quite a lot). All her recordings are very highly recommended.
